Date & Venue
The IPL 2026 Mini Auction will be held on December 16, 2025 at the Etihad Arena, Abu Dhabi. This is a one-day mini auction following the mega auction held in 2024.
Player Pool
A total of 1,390 players registered for the auction, with 359 players shortlisted for the final auction – 240 Indian and 110 overseas players.

IPL 2026 Auction Rules
Squad Size
Minimum 18 players, maximum 25 players per squad. Teams must have at least 18 players by the end of the auction.
Overseas Limit
Maximum 8 overseas players per squad. Only 4 overseas players can play in a match.
Bid Increments
Bid increments follow IPL rules: ₹5 Lakh (up to ₹1 Cr), ₹10 Lakh (₹1-5 Cr), ₹25 Lakh (above ₹5 Cr).
Unsold Players
Players who don't receive bids at their base price go unsold. They may be brought back in accelerated rounds.
